Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem is now Big Brothers Big Sisters of NH! Partnering with 3 other NH Agencies we are on a mission to serve more children in the Nashua, Salem and Derry regions. We are endeavoring to increase the number of kids served by 400%!
To do that, we NEED volunteers!! BBBS NH Nashua/Salem region is currently scheduling Volunteer Recruitments for March and April at local High Schools and Colleges. The commitment is small, but the difference a Volunteer makes in a child’s life is BIG!
To find committed High School Bigs we recruit in two ways. Lunchtime recruitments give us an opportunity to interact with any student interested in volunteering. Students are able to talk to our professional staff about our programs during their lunch period. Staff will then follow up with interested students outside of the school setting. We also do more Targeted Recruiting. For example, we would come to your Early Childhood class and talk about our programs, answer student questions and start the enrollment process.
We currently have many dates open, but do hope to fill them up fast. Please contact me, Michelle Paquette, Site Based Mentoring and Volunteer Recruiting Coordinator via email or by phone if you have any questions and to set up a time for me to come and talk to students at your school. Thank you!
